Research Interests

My current research interests are in the areas of slow light, guided-wave and fiber optics, nonlinear optics, photonic crystal fibers, and photonic crystals. In particular, I'm interested in studying and developing guided-wave optical techniques for high-speed optical communication networks, information processing, and biomedical sensing applications.
