Tutorials
- "How to Build a Beowulf" at 1997 Cluster Computing Conference in Atlanta (March '97).
- "How to Build a Beowulf" at NASA-wide Beowulf Workshop in Pasadena
(October '97).
- "How to Build a Beowulf: Assembling, Programming, and Using a Clustered
PC Do-it-yourself Supercomputer" at SC97 in San Jose (November '97).
The first two things you'll need for a Beowulf class machine
are the hardware and the software.
Here are links to our current
hardware and
software configurations.
We'd prefer not to make general statements/recommendations about
hardware vendors but if you are looking for a good source of
Linux and Linux software, try RedHat.
For archives of Linux software on the web, try
sunSITE or one of its many
mirrors.
