Police Sirens (doppler shift and beats)

a) A police siren emits sound at a primary frequency of 1000 Hz. Two police cars with sirens wailing are travelling towards you at 34 m/sec. What frequency do you hear? (Assume that the speed of sound in still air is 340 m/sec).

b) One of the two cars slows down to 31 m/sec. What beat frequency do you hear?
