HKP errata
The following errata apply to all versions of the
HKP book unless otherwise noted. There is a
separate list of
additional errata for the first printing only.
The first printing is distinguished from later ones by having the author's
email addresses at the end of the Preface (page xxii).
Chapter 1
Page 19, two lines below equation 2.16. Should be pmax = 0.185N,
not pmax = 0.15N.
Chapter 6
Page 122, middle of last paragraph. "patters" should be "patterns".
Page 143, For the rest of us,... The thresholds should be (N-1)b
at the hidden units and -SUMj(wij) at the output unit, not
N(b-1) and SUMj(wij).
Bibliography
Page 296. "D.E. Rumelhart, D.E.," should be just
"D.E. Rumelhart," in McClelland et al (1986). [This correction doesn't apply
directly to the first printing, since this reference was only
introduced at the second printing.]
