Directions to Duke Forest Observatory

 

The observation site is located in the Duke Forest, off of Cornwallis Rd. 

 

From 15-501 take the Cornwallis Rd. Exit west.  (If coming from Chapel Hill, turn left off the exit ramp; if coming from Durham turn right).  Go through the light at Erwin, follow road to intersection with Kerley.  Stay on Cornwallis for about .5 mile.  The site is on the left-hand side of the road (and a chain link guards the entrance if no one is there).  You may notice a cell phone antenna tower to the left of the road; it is just past our entrance.
