I study the behavior of nonequilibrium and nonlinear systems, performing experiments to better understand their dynamics and phase transitions. Follow the links at the bottom of the page learn more about my work on pattern formation in inclined layer convection (my PhD work at Cornell) and granular materials and instabilities in spreading droplets (present work at Duke).
Duke News wrote a summary of some of our work here.
