The obligatory ride on a camel thru the Sahara. It is quite fun. More amazing than the camel ride were the handlers of the camels - handlers are necessary, after all one wouldn't trust a white city boy like me to handle such a big animal - who in the heat ran in their makeshift sandals alongside the camels thru the Sahara. They had some kind of race going.
