OpenOffice is freely available to download on Linux, Macintosh, and PC computers via this site. Impress can print out the slides in a Handout format in which several slides are displayed per page. To do this, select File -> Print..., then click on the Options box in the lower left corner of the Print window, then make sure only the Handouts box has a check in the upper left corner of the Options window.
