Web Applets and Other Links

Here are links to applets and other information related to the course

Blackbody
Radiation
This Applet lets you see how the universal blackbody curve changes with temperature.  This applet shows you the appearance of the object, the power in the RGB portion of the spectrum, and idicates the visible part of the spectrum on the universal curve.  Patrick Horton brought this to my attention.  It is from Wolfgang Christian's web site a Davidson.
Mikowski
diagrams
This Applet let you measure the coordinates in frames S and S' using the Lorentz transformations
Single-photon
interference
See some data of single-photons passing through a Young's double slit apparatus collected by some students at Princeton.
Atom
interference
See some date of cold sodium atoms interfering
Hydrogenic
Wavefunctions
This Applet calculates and displays the wavefunctions for hydrogen-like atoms
Hydrogenic
Wavefunctions
Notebook
A Mathematica Notebook written by Dan that lets you visualize the electron cloud surround the hydrogen atom.  If you see the Mathematica code in your browser window, save it locally on you computer with the file name hydrogenic.nb.  Launch Mathematica and load the file.  Execute the commands.  Try out different quantum numbers to see how they effect the electron cloud.
