Saturday, February 10, SPS will be hosting Cold Fusion. This is the most important and exciting event in the history of Duke University. It will be similar to last year's Liquid Nitrogen Party.
The event will be held in Physics 154 at 6:00 p.m. There will be food and refreshments. There will also be lots of liquid nitrogen that can be used freely. We will provide fruits (and other interesting things to freeze) and we will present a few demos. Everyone is welcome.

The semester is over and this website has not been updated in ages. Hopefully we will have a new webmaster next year. Regarding next year, we already have the list of the new SPS Executives:

President: Alvaro Chavarria
Vice President: Nigel Barella
Secretary: Richard Wall
Treasurer: Anthony Aikens
Social Chair: Barry Wright
Community Service Chair: Forrest Sheldon

Also, the pictures and movies from last years Liquid Nitrogen Party have been uploaded (thank you Peter!) and can be found here. Please to not forget to watch this, as it is the most awesome event to have ever happened on the main quad.

This Thursday 27 October at 8:00 p.m. we will be having our Liquid Nitrogen Party! There will be lots of liquid nitrogen that can be used for anything you want (as long as it's somewhat safe). It will be held in Physics 157 and there will be food and drinks. It is going to be lots of crazy, sub-zero fun! We expect to see you there.

In addition, we *might* have a minimalist liquid nitrogen demo Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Chapel. Check it out, if you please.

News to the world: complete understanding of projectile motion and hours of lab experience does not make one a good basketball player. That's why we lost. Maybe next time, **** it.

We will have our SPS Ice Cream Social, on East Campus (*Hint, freshmen, hint*) this Tuesday 4th of October at 8:00 p.m. It will be held in Bassett's Commons room and we will bring some board games to play.

The basketball game against DUMU (Duke University Math Union) has been scheduled for the 1 October at 5:00 p.m. If you are interested in playing please email the webmaster.
