 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

TUNL will soon be losing one of her most loyal and distinguished staff members.

Pat Gibson, who has worked with four TUNL Directors, will be retiring on March 19, 1999.  Her expertise and loyalty will be missed by everyone.

Pat joined the Physics Department as a Typist-Stenographer in 1957.  In 1958, she joined the nuclear group (later known as TUNL) as a secretary.   She was the first secretary to work on the famous TUNL Progress Report and was, in turn, commended on her professionalism and willingness to work on the weekends, late at night, and into the early  morning to get the job done.   And this was all done without computers!  Great job Pat!!!   Pat is currently a Staff Assistant.

We hope that Pat will enjoy her retirement, and we hope she will come and visit us as often as she can.  Thank you Pat.
