Duke University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow(s) to join an interdisciplinary
collaboration with Professors Glenn Edwards (physics) and Dan Kiehart (biology). The
research involves molecular, cellular, and tissue dynamics during early morphogenesis
based on in vivo imaging of Drosophila embryos, advanced segmentation of time series
of confocal images, and modeling based on physics concepts. The successful candidate
should hold a Ph.D. in physics or related fields with a strong background in experimental,
numerical, and analytical methods. Experience with femtosecond lasers would be
beneficial. The position is available starting in the fall of 2014.
