Physics and Pre-Med senior Laurel Kaye is one of 100 finalists being considered for the Mars One human colonization project and television series that will fund it. Kaye will graduate in May 2015. The first unmanned mission is projected to launch in 2018 and the Mars One settlement could happen as early as 2022.
