Reinforcement Spike-timing-dependent Plasticity (STDP) models of Learning for Songbird's and Monkey's Sensorymotor Systems
MengRu Li
Learning is the change in neuronal network which enables the animal to
predict better or to reshape animal behaviors to control more
accurately or efficiently.
Neuronal long-term potentiation, LTP, and long-term depression, LTD,
have been found to depend on the timing differences of presynpatic and
postsynaptic spikes.
New spike-timing-dependent learning models is presented compared to the
traditional rate model.
The potential application of the new learning models to songbird vocal
learning or to monkey's motor learning may help us to understand how the
network evolves to store the information.
