Harmonic Generation at Duke Free Electron Laser Lab

In this talk, I will start with a basic overview of how the OK-4 FEL works
(it's basically just a giant light bulb). I will describe the operational
parameters of the machine and their current limitations (what colors we can
see), and discuss how the FEL capabilities will be extended by the production
of harmonics (how to make more colors). There will be a brief description
of the mechanism for harmonic production and then I will show some recent
data (it works!).
