December 19, 2010: Physics Solstice Party 2010

December 15, 2010:
Congratulations to Jie Ren (G07) and Hsiang-Kuo Yuan on the birth of their daughter, Deanna Hope Yuan, was born on December 15, 6:39pm. The baby is 7lb 14oz, and is doing well.
December 13, 2010:
Seth Henshaw (G05) defended his Final Examination and his Thesis, and he passed. Congratulations! His advisor is Prof. Henry Weller.
November 30, 2010:
Chris Coleman-Smith (G08) passed his preliminary exam. His advisor is Prof. Berndt Mueller.
November 27, 2010:
Some students are still at Physics in the Thanksgiving break, so there were a trip to the NC Zoo.

Yingyi Zhang (G06) and Haojun Luo, a 4th year graduate student in NCSU ECE department, were married in Durham. The pictures were taken one in the court house, and one in Duke garden. Congratulations to Yingyi and Haojun

Jie Ren (G07) and Hsiang-Kuo Yuan (Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics) were married in the Duke Chapel, one of the longest aisle in anywhere. Jie and Hsiang-Kuo first met in a Physics class.
March 1, 2010:
Baolei Li (G07) passed his preliminary exam. His advisor is Prof. Warren Warren (Chemistry).
February 22, 2010:
