    Yingyi Zhang (G06) won the "People's Choice" of the 2nd annual Mahato Memorial Image Contest.

    Georgios Laskaris (G08) passed his preliminary exam. His advisor is Prof. Haiyan Gao.

    May 3, 2011:
    Ben Cerio (G08) passed his preliminary exam. His advisor is Prof. Ashutosh Kotwal.

    May 1–3, 2011:
    Jon Mueller (G09) and Prof Henry Weller gave a press conference at the APS April meeting in Anaheim, CA. This event have brought into focus the national security research at TUNL and HIGS.

    April 25–28, 2011:
    Jon Mueller (G09) was named the best student presenter award for the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) Academic Research Initiative (ARI) Meeting and awarded a signed copy of Radiation Detection and Measurement.

    April 26, 2011:
    Xin Qian (G03) is the winner of the 2011 Jefferson Lab Thesis Prize Award. Xin is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Caltech.

    April 20, 2011:
    Min Huang (G08) is the winner of the 2011-2012 Jefferson Science Associates (JSA) Fellowship awardee.

    April 19, 2011:
    Hannah Guilbert (G08) passed her preliminary exam. Her advisor is Prof. Dan Gauthier.

    April 12, 2011:
    Yu Song (G08) passed her preliminary exam. Her advisor is Prof. Sridhar Raghavachari (Neurobiology).

    April 8, 2011: Get-Together Dinner
