Dear Grads: The Chair asked me to notify our students about this. The goal of the training program is to provide a brief but in-depth experience with translational research for basic scientists at early stages of their careers that may then alter their subsequent career paths. Richard Palmer, DGS ------------------------------------------------------------------- Professor Rudy Juliano of the UNC Department of Pharmacology is PI on a small NIH-funded training grant, "Major Challenges in Clinical Medicine: An Overview for Basic Scientists," and we invite your department's graduate students and postdocs to consider attending.
