------------------------------------------------------------------------- THEORETICAL CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS POSTDOCTORAL POSITION The University of California, Irvine anticipates the availability of a postdoctoral position in condensed matter physics beginning Fall 2009. The successful candidate will use noise as a microscopic probe of disordered glassy systems as well as study phase transitions in 2D electron systems. The successful applicant will have a strong background in statistical physics and condensed matter physics as well as good computer skills. Experience with Monte Carlo simulations and C++ is useful. The minimum qualification is a Ph.D in physics. Applications (including a cv, list of publications, and three reference letters) should be sent to Prof. Clare Yu, Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of California, Irvine, CA 92697-4575.
