DAAD Fellowships

Graduate Research Grant Opportunities in Germany

Dear Richard,

I'm contacting some of the DGS's in the sciences regarding a funding
opportunity for graduate students interested in research opportunities in
Germany.   For decades the German Academic Exchange Service has offered
graduate research fellowships - short and long term - to graduate students
wanting to work at German institutions.  Not all of our graduate students
might be right for such opportunities, but for those that are this can be a
wonderful experience.   It can be just the right kind of experience for
young people needing research experience in an international setting.  As
the chair of the Duke DAAD selection committee I'd very much like to help
interested & qualified graduate students make an application.   If you know
of any of your graduate students who might be furthered this way, please
call this opportunity to their attention and have them get in touch with me.
The internal Duke deadline is November 7th.   I'm attaching a [flyer] with all
