About GCC

GCC is a standing committee to address long-term issues and strategy in the Duke Physics' graduate program, including:
  • Goals of the graduate program
    • broad education vs. specialized technical training
    • careers in research (academic/industry/government)
    • careers in teaching
  • Exams and assessments
  • Courses
    • core courses
    • distribution courses and breadth requirements
    • technique courses (math, computation, data analysis, labs, shop, seminars, etc)
    • other Duke departments (math, chem, cs, engineering, etc) and other universities (UNC, NCSU, etc)

Resources/Reports

Most resources are only accessible from the phy/tunl/fel.duke.edu domains, or from a password
