PHY 307: Introduction to Condensed Matter Theory

Course Description

Microscopic structure of solids, liquids, liquid crystals, polymers, and spin systems; elastic scattering and long-range order; topological defects; electronic structure of crystals (metals and semiconductors); phonons and inelastic scattering; magnetism; superconductivity.

Physics 203, 211, 212.
