Experiments involving the fields of electricity, magnetism, heat, optics, and modern physics. Written and oral presentations of results. The course is restricted to juniors and seniors. Senior physics majors have first priority. Limit of 10 students.

Prerequisites

PHY 41L (or the equivalent) and 42L (or the equivalent). PHY 143L (or the equivalent) and some exposure to quantum mechanics is desirable.
