A team activity based on design problems obtained from industry involving the formulation and written presentation of a solution to the design problem for faculty review; the execution and evaluation of the approved design; and a written and oral presentation of the performance of the design solution for faculty review. The Capstone Design project exposes students to basic scientific concepts and to the processes by which scientific and technological advances are made and incorporated into society.

Prerequisites

Major in one of the sciences or engineering.
