PHY 185: Modern Optics I

Course Description

Optical processes including the propagation of light, coherence, interference, and diffraction. Consideration of the optical properties of solids with applications of these concepts to lasers and modern optical devices.

Prerequisites

Intended for science and engineering majors. Prerequisites: PHY 52L or equivalent; MTH 103 or equivalent.
