    PHY 52: Introductory Technical Physics

    Course Description

    The second half of a two-semester course designed to provide a quantitative survey at the introductory level of the basic principles of classical physics. Topics in this course: elctromagnetism; circuits; optics. Continuation of Physics 51L. Physics 52L is closed to students having credit for Physics 42L, 53L or Physics 54L.

    Prerequisites

    PHY 51L or equivalent; MTH 32 or equivalent.
    For students studying the natural sciences or engineering. Students studying the life sciences may prefer to enroll in PHY 54L.
