I am currently a third year Ph.D. student in physics at Duke University. I received my B.S. degree in physics from National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2009. I am interested in condensed matter and atomic-molecular-optical (AMO) theory. Currently I am working in collaboration with Professor Harold Baranger and Dr. Huaixiu Zheng on the "waveguide QED" system in which many (artificial) atoms are coupled to a 1D waveguide. We consider the photon correlations by injecting one or many photons, either on or off resonance, into the waveguide and explore the non-classical nature of light. Our previous project studied the collective behavior of trapped Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) and its interaction with classical light fields, which is also an interdisciplinary study between condensed matter and AMO physics.
