The main purpose of the meeting is to explore the significant progress and exciting future perspectives of the Physics connected to strong fields in QED/QCD as well as the properties and phases of hot and dense QCD matter. The Symposium will feature a Banquet devoted to celebrating Berndt Mueller's contributions to these fields on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

The Symposium will take place in Asheville, NC, October 24th to 27th 2010, at the Asheville Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville, NC. In late October Asheville, located at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is a prime destination to view the Indian Summer. There will be a registration fee of US$ 50, payable in cash at the conference to offset the cost for infrastructure etc...
