Higgs particles, the Standard Model, Quantum Chromodynamics. They were all rather foreign to me until now. When I started reading "Angels and Demons" over Thanksgiving break, I couldn't help but be amazed at how well I understood it all -- Large Hadron Collider, antimatter, CERN, the whole nine yards. Your class is truly one of a kind and most enjoyable. I am greatly honored to have read the Bible (refers to the textbook of the class) and have been taught by the Great Han himself! Thank you so much for a most memorable and exciting seminar!

Not only was class fun, but I did learn a lot from the bible (refers to the textbook of the class) and from my classmates, the latter being most important in a seminar class. I looked forward to coming to your class everyday, and I know that all of my classmates did as well. It was a pleasure being in your class, and I thank you for being such a great teacher. It seems unlikely that I will be in one of your in the future for high level physics is an unlikely path for me. When I turn 21, you're going to be one of the first people I call to enjoy a legal drink with.

Thanks for your great class this semester. It really was enjoyable and I will never forget all the deep down discussions we had throughout the semester.

I just wanted to let you know what a great class this was . This was without a doubt my FAVORITE class this semester.  I learned a
LOT this semester and I feel like you put complex ideas in easier terminology and explained it really well.   Above all, I loved the atmosphere of the class and how chill every was in there.    It made me feel more comfortable asking questions or making comments and hearing other peoples' opinons.  I usually never enjoy "baring my soul," but I actually enjoyed doing that in your class. I will forever treasure my signed Bible (as the textbook for the course is referred to)  and will never sell it back to Duke.  So keep up the good work (and don't drink TOO many Philips screwdrivers...yeah right...).

The class was  an amazing experience, and hopefully next semester I'll be able to join  in for a little discussion. You're a great professor, and the class WILL BE MISSED! Now time to sniff some books, man, yeah right!

I'd just like to say thanks for making your class such a treat for me. I've always been interested in this subject matter but the math work that came along with most courses addressing this material has always been too overwhelming for me; your class allowed me to understand and enjoy very complicated stuff.  I write you this e-mail because I felt writing this on a course evaluation is very generic and I wanted to express my sincerity.  This has been the best class I have ever been in...on any level.

I enjoyed the class immensely.  As a student in the class from New York State said, this was the only class we actually enjoyed going to each day.  Thanks for a great semester,  I  learned a lot.
